Fuel Price Crisis
In the U.K. fuel prices are rapidly increasing creating a number of issues about the unnecessary cost for keeping a car running. Here are several of the problems created because of the ridiculous prices…
Firstly, people who need to travel to work are spending a lot more money on fuel that is needed. Approximately £1.40 is spend per litre however, at the beginning of 2007 it was only around 90p. If you have to make long journeys you could end up losing a high amount of money every day just to keep your job.
Haulage companies could go out of business because the price may be too much to keep delivering to their customers if they cannot pass on the extra cost.
People who cannot afford to purchase their fuel, because they are using it to pay more important things like bills and to keep food coming in, may have to give away their car because they simply cannot pay the price for it! This prevents people from: travelling to work; getting their children to school and going out to purchase other essential needs.
To conclude, the high costs of fuel are affecting people’s everyday lives and jobs across the country.
