A. £22.50 from 7:30am to 4:30pm and that was in April 2001
Q. Was it hard to find the money needed to pay for childcare?
A. No because my job is well paid where as if your job was not well paid you may struggle.
Q. Did the price for a day in childcare start to go up?
A. By Christmas 2002 the price for one day was £24.00.
Q. Why did your daughter have to go into childcare?
A. I went back to work part time (two days a week) and also because I felt it was a positive experience.
Q. Do you think it was worth the money you paid?
A. Sometimes, I you find a good nursery/preschool where your child is happy then yes.
